COSTUME DESIGN

The following works are pieces that were designed or constructed specifically for classes.

Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare was utilized to practice different types of design; seen are stylization and fantasy. The first set uses architectural styles as inspiration for costumes (brutalism, art nouveau, rococo, and art deco) and the second plays off of the romantic tragedy reflected in environmental tragedy (recycling, oil spills, radioactive waste).

The following are examples and prices of private commissions, meaning they are for personal use. For pricing on commercial commissions to be used for the buyer's profit, please contact through email for information and a quote.Additional characters cost an additional half of what the original cost [ex.) A fully rendered image with two full bodies would cost $60.00]
Backgrounds vary in price depending on complexity, generally ranging between an additional $25 to $200 and will be discussed based on what the client is looking for. Simple (one to three colors) backgrounds have no additional cost.NOTE: These prices apply to drawing characters that have pre-existing image references. If the customer does not have a pre-existing image reference of the character they want drawn, that is considered a design commission and will come at an extra cost. Thank you!

About

Ilianna Cohen is a Jewish, nonbinary artist and activist with a B.F.A in Theater Design and Technology from Nazareth College. They have minors in Musical Theater and Dance and are proud to have assisted in running the student production group Simple Stage. They keep hobbies such as embroidery, needlefelting, and writing.Currently, Ilianna is based in Syracuse and Rochester, New York. They are available for hire as a costume designer, stitcher, and artist.
